Handmade Leather Wallets Under ₹2,000: What Each One Holds
Share
Yes, you can buy a real full-grain leather wallet, made by hand, for ₹2,000 or less. Every wallet below is full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, hand-stitched with waxed Japanese thread (the two Bucks Bunny wallets need no stitching at all), and comes with a 5 year warranty. They run from ₹800 for a card sleeve to ₹2,000 for wallets that carry cards, notes and coins.
This guide lists each one with its price, how much it holds and who it suits. Prices were checked on 2 November 2026.
What does a wallet under ₹2,000 actually get you?
A low price on a leather wallet often comes from the leather itself. "Genuine leather" on a label can mean a lower grade of hide. Full-grain is the top layer of the hide, with its natural markings kept, and it is the layer that ages well.
Thepps wallets are full-grain and vegetable-tanned. That kind of leather starts a little stiff and gets softer, smoother and darker with use. The seams are saddle-stitched by hand: if one stitch wears through, the rest of the seam holds. The edges are burnished by hand with tokonole and beeswax, which is why they look smooth and not raw.

Which one should you pick?
You only carry cards. The One-Shot (₹800) is the simplest and lightest. The Trident and the Cashew (₹1,600 each) add room for a few folded notes.
You want a small wallet for cards and a few notes. The Pocket Mini (₹1,800) and the Pocket Mini 2.0 (₹2,000) hold 9 to 15 cards in one slot and fit a front pocket. The Lifafa Cross-Stitch (₹1,600) has the same one-slot idea in a slightly larger envelope shape.
You carry coins. The Spartan, Bucks Bunny 2.0 and Snip-Snap (₹2,000 each) all have a place for coins.
You prefer a bifold. The Nomad (₹1,800) and the Spartan (₹2,000) fold open like a regular wallet and stay slim.
You like a money clip. The Snip-Snap (₹2,000) holds notes with a leather clip.
You want no stitching. The Bucks Bunny (₹1,600) and Bucks Bunny 2.0 (₹2,000) are cut from a single piece of leather with no stitches to wear through.
Can you add a name and stay under ₹2,000?
Yes, for most of them. Every wallet we make can be engraved. On the Bucks Bunny, Pocket Mini, Pocket Mini 2.0 and Nomad it is free; on the others a name costs ₹100 more. A logo, a vector image or a favourite line or verse can be engraved too, for the same price as a name; logos and vector images take a little longer, and you can send them to us on WhatsApp (+91 7588109990) or by email (hello@thepps.in), quoting your order number. With a name, the One-Shot is ₹900, the Cashew, Trident and Lifafa Cross-Stitch are ₹1,700, and the Lifafa 2.0 is ₹1,900, while the Bucks Bunny, Pocket Mini, Nomad and Pocket Mini 2.0 stay at their listed price. The Bucks Bunny 2.0, Spartan and Snip-Snap become ₹2,100 with a name, so they go just over.
Personalized wallets cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or with a manufacturing defect, and cash on delivery is not available for them.

Questions people ask
Is full-grain leather available under ₹2,000? Yes. Every wallet in this list is full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather.
How long will it last? The leather is thick and the seams are hand-stitched, and the warranty is 5 years. How long it lasts also depends on how you treat it: wipe it dry, spot clean with mild soap if needed, let it air dry (no heat), and condition it every six months or when it looks dry.
Will it feel stiff? New vegetable-tanned leather is firm at first and softens with use.
